Spili is a sleepy little mountain village and there is no mass tourism there. Spili is located south of Rethymno, on the road from Rethymno to Agia Galini. Cool, drinkable water flows from the springs all year round from 25 water-spewing lion heads. The water is known to be particularly clean and rich in minerals and is valued by locals.

Hiking

The small, dreamy village of Spili invites you to linger with its many taverns. A highlight in this village is the long drinking water fountain. Drinking water is dispensed from 27 snapdragons, very fresh, cool mountain water, delicious!
The very special thing is:
If you order something to eat or drink in one of the surrounding taverns, every guest is served a fresh, cool, large glass of water free of charge, great idea!!! 👍
