It stands here on the site of a 14th-century single-nave Gothic church. The author of the project was the Prague architect Stephan Tragl, the local master builder Eduard Zirm took care of the realization of the building. The original church was demolished in 1886 and the new church opened its doors three years later. The church is dedicated to Saint Laurentius.
