Tips
In the Dinslaken Hiesfeld area, the landscape has sunk so much due to mining that the Rotbach behind the mill museum has to be pumped up again.
The stream then flows straightened through Hiesfeld itself, but it's hard to believe it's exactly in this area that the rare kingfisher likes to perch on the pipes and branches hanging over the stream to hunt for prey.
The path itself is designated as the Rotbach route and is relatively heavily frequented.translated by
