From this location you have a beautiful overview of the entire Loisachfilz up to the first Alpine peaks. The pointed Jochberg is particularly recognizable, to the right of it the valley cut of the Kesselberg and the adjoining Herzogstand. After the last great ice age, the Kochelsee was three times its size and reached as far as Penzberg. If that were still the case today, the Kochelseeufer would be at this photo location.
