The Antitankgracht is a former defense line around Antwerp and runs from the Albert Canal in Oelegem to the Scheldt in Berendrecht. In 1940, in six months' time, the entire 33 km route had been excavated. Today, its function has shifted from military defense ditch to 'defender of nature and landscape', a unique landscape element, along which you can cycle and walk almost endlessly. Moreover, as a large nature connection area, the Antitankgracht also contributes to the migration of animals and plants

This piece of anti-tank ditch in the Ertbrandbos is a gem. You will come across several bunkers and at the end (or beginning) also the Ford van Ertbrand. Please note: in the immediate vicinity of the Ford van Ertbrand only walking is allowed ... so you will have to dismount, but it is definitely worth a look.
