The first traces of a settlement at Doss Castel date back to the medieval Bronze Age (14th century BC), while the remains of a settlement that are still visible today date back to the second Iron Age (5th to 4th centuries BC). This phase is also known as the "Rhaetian period".

Mountain biking

The archaeological excavation site at Doss Castel is on the Sentiero dei Reti hiking trail. The oldest traces of the settlement date from the Bronze Age (14th century BC), while the remains of the foundation walls still visible today date back to the Second Iron Age (5th to 4th century BC). In the immediate vicinity you will find a beautiful viewpoint of the Adige Valley.
