De Notelaer is a pavilion on the river Scheldt in the Belgian town of Bornem. It was commissioned by Duke Wolfgang-Willem d'Ursel and his wife Flore d'Arenberg between 1792 and 1797 and owes its name to a striking walnut tree that stood on the Scheldt dike in the seventeenth century.

A landmark on the Scheldt dike.
The teahouse appears to be built into the dike.
Enjoying a tea on a cozy terrace is simply part of the experience. A perfect excuse to stop here.
