There’s a substantial foot bridge about a kilometre upstream which can be used to cross the river in spate. Map reference NN 38898 94556. It’s marked as “ford” but there is a bridge.
There’s another bridge about 1km downstream at NN 38317 92910.

The water from the river which runs by Luib Chonnal is very peaty and yellow. If collected from River Roy above the white falls, it’s much clearer
