Between Amöneburg Castle and the Wenigenburg there is a great place with a fabulous view of the Ebsdorfergrund. Rustic table / bench combinations invite you to linger. In order to make this vantage point even more tangible, a telescope was installed that enables a free view of the Marburg region.

Hiking

With the basalt cone of the Amöneburg, but also on the elevations around it, the city of Amöneburg has wonderful views of the Amöneburg basin with the Ebsdorfergrund. One of the most interesting can be found south of the walls of the castle ruins, not far from the Ostlandkreuz - on the edge of the nature reserve. From there you have wonderful views to the south. Particularly striking points are the e.g. Mardorfer Höhe, the Wittelsberger Warte, the Frauenberg and the Dünsberg in Biebertal in the district of Gießen.
