The Kühlung, a forested ridge, is also referred to as the “smallest low mountain range in Northern Germany”. And in fact, here you don't go straight on a level, but you have to overcome a few meters in altitude. You come across crossroads and sometimes the path curves through the Forest: Not only hikers, but also joggers and cyclists appreciate the variety of paths that the mountain range offers.

Paths that you can walk along here and that provide an insight into the cooling system are the "Seagull Path" (path marking: stylized white seagull) and the "Panorama Path" (partly signposted).
