Hiking

In earlier times, the then "Domain Ostend" or also called "Meierei" belonged to the Loccum monastery and produced milk, cheese and meat for its hospice. The domain ceased to exist in 1953. The name "Meierei" has remained, however, and that is how today's restaurant is still called. It is a popular excursion destination on the island and the only one in the east.
