Eckernförde Harbor

The port used to be used primarily for handling grain and fertilizers. Today, marinas with sailing and motor yachts dominate the picture. A wooden bascule bridge, which can be opened for passing ships if necessary, connects Eckernförde with the northern district of Borby. At the same time, it divides the port into the inner port and the outer port.
The larger outer harbor is protected with its outer harbor by two moles.

The fish market takes place every first Sunday of the month in the picturesque harbor, in August on the second Sunday
