The Römerschanze (Königswall or Räuberschanze) is a prehistoric rampart that is said to be one of the oldest defensive structures in Europe. It is said to be around 3,000 years old and about two hectares (175x125m) in size. There should have been space for 1,000 people. The surrounding ring wall is said to have had a height of 6m, today you can still see 3m of it. The Romans who gave the hill its name were probably never here.
