The Boarderline Downhill is the first track project of the Mountainbike Freiburg e.V .. The trail starts at the top of the Rosskopf and leads over about four kilometers and 450 meters down to the Freiburg Youth Hostel.

The track is constantly maintained, but it is not a closed mountain bike trail - so you should always count on pedestrians. Also important: The trail is intended as a pure departure. So only drive from top to bottom, never against the direction of travel.

Freiburg's first built DH Trail - the challenging classic. At the beginning and at the end quite rough, in the middle part flowig to drive - but still nothing for MTB beginners. Also you should def. minute have an AM fully, otherwise it's just not enough fun.

The trail begins below the lookout tower in the first right-hand bend of the south-facing forest road and leads initially steeply downhill, crosses another forest and leads to a broad forest road junction. There it continues straight on the trail, after a short ascent you reach a footbridge over a marshy passage, further downhill to the St. Wendelins chapel. There on the forest short left and turn right again, the trail initially leads slightly uphill. Then follow the trail, after crossing three forest roads ends at the end of increasingly steep borderline at the hostel.

Weather should be dry, in the upper third technically demanding. Then pure flow, nevertheless protectors not
    to forget.

Beautiful nature trail is maintained by the mountain bike Freiburg e.V. and has everything a demanding trail needs. Meanwhile, there are also large residents and jumps (Tables) in Section 5. Section 1 and Section 2 are much more demanding than the other sections and can be well avoided by good if necessary.

    A must
    to ride this trail. Hard,
gruff, dusty. The added tableline adds a certain amount of jumping pleasure.

A mega trail. Very rough and not really easy to drive. Not really recommended for beginners. But it's great fun. Kudos to the Freiburg Mountain Bike Association!
