At the old Chauseehaus, used to be a restaurant. Was right on the current intersection.
A Chausseehaus was the service building of the Chausseewärters, which he inhabited with his family. They were built at the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century, when the out-of-town roads were extended to Chausseen. The Chausseewärter supervised a section of road and collected for the sovereign the Chausseegeld, the toll. Some town houses were also customs stations.
