The Buchenbach "Scheibenschlagen" (disk throwing) takes place in front of the chapel after Ash Wednesday.
A huge bonfire is built in the days leading up to the event. The discs are lit from the blazing fire and then, burning, thrown down the hillside while reciting a saying.
