The new, now barrier-free Wolkenburg suspension bridge was inaugurated on May 1, 2017. It replaces a narrower bridge that is less high above the water, which was severely damaged in the 2013 flood. In addition to the Thierbach-Zinnberg suspension bridge, the bridge enables the Wolkenburger Mulderundweg and the hiking trail to Hauboldfelsen from Wolkenburg Castle.
