Hiking
Archery has a long tradition; people have been shooting bows and arrows for over 8,000 years. Initially as a hunt and weapon of war, but always as a competition and as an exercise for concentration and meditation.
Archery has been an Olympic discipline since 1972 and has gained more and more fans ever since. The GSG performance group currently consists of 10 shooters aged 12 to 60 years. The young people, women and men train for national and German championships. The successes of the Geesthacht archers can be seen.
