The Panzerberg (Tank Hill) in the former Wentorfer Lohe military training area is a "relic" from the Bundeswehr era. It's not very high and looks inconspicuous - but it isn't.It's very steep and slippery, and even on foot it's quite challenging. When you climb it, it's hard to imagine tanks being able to climb it, but it's possible. Unimogs can manage it too. It's best not to even attempt it on a bike/mountain bike, as I know from personal experience, because there's a risk of falling off with a backward or forward somersault over the handlebars. If you pedal hard to gain momentum, the front wheel will lift off, and then you should abort the attempt.I don't know if real professional cyclists could manage it, but it's better not to try...
the risk of injury is too great. You need a lot of momentum, and then you can't control it anymore...
However, it's very suitable as a running track for training à la Rocky Balboa.panzergrenadierbrigade16.de/standorte/stouebpl-wentorfer-lohe.html
