Typical for such a landscape are depressions, i.e. grooves or gullies, so-called carts, and larger depressions and caves. Over the millennia, the water combined with carbonic acid has “dissolved” cavities from the stone. The rock can form very sharp ridges and edges on which you can easily cut yourself.
In winter, the small-scale structures are hidden under the snow. Larger hollows and depressions remain visible, but can also be blown over and then become dangerous for individual skiers or hikers.
