This Danube ferry is a yaw cable ferry that uses the Danube's current to move in a particularly environmentally friendly manner.
The ferry runs between the Korneuburg and Klosterneuburg banks of the Danube without a motor, only with the help of a rope, the so-called yaw rope, and with the use of the flow pressure of the river.
The two outboard motors are only used for safety, so that you can maneuver independently of the current in an emergency.
