Schönfelder Hochland Cycle Path (Old Railway Embankment)

Very well developed and asphalted Schönfelder Hochland cycle path on the former railway line between Weißig and Dürröhrsdorf/Dittersbach. The route, which is almost flat due to typical railway routing parameters and is uniformly signposted in Dresden as the "Schönfelder Hochland cycle path", leads from the Dresdner Heide to the city limits in Wünschendorf and further to Porschendorf and Dürrröhrsdorf. Along the route, information boards provide an insight into the eventful history of the railway line. The former stations and stops have received their station signs back, and hiking rest areas invite you to linger. There is also typical railway signage and accessories to explore.

The old railway embankment in the highlands is a cycling highlight in Dresden. Very, very nice to drive.
