    The history of the cemetery

The dead were initially buried in Braunsbach, since 1823 in their own cemetery east of the village (parcel 567). The perimeter wall was donated according to inscription 1884 by "Hirsch Steiner from Schigago" (cemetery area 10.62 a). The Jewish people who died in Gerabronn were also buried in the Dünsbacher cemetery.

The first burial on the 76 (or at least 80) graveyard cemetery was by Brandl Wassermann (died August 2, 1831); Felix Aquarius was the last to be buried (died 2 April 1932).

In the spring of 1930, the cemetery was desecrated by a group of foreign youths. Four tombstones were forcibly overturned. Even then, the Jewish Dünsbacher were repeatedly harassed by young Nazis.
