This second dryfall presents a more than 25 feet (8 m) insurmountable wall, ending the hike into the Mosaic Canyon on the National Park guide map. With its multicolored vertical walls closing in on both sides, it is a stunning highlight where most people turn around.
There is a faint trail up the sidewall a few yards back, which fearless hikers can climb and scramble on narrow hand- and footholds to the Mosaic Rim Trail, which bypasses and leads to yet another fall and a 40 foot tall grotto.
