Mystic stones. The compass is crazy. Was it really a sacrificial stone? One thing is for sure, they are basalt blocks. The view from there is very nice.

A stone formation on a meadow. Rest area and rest refuge in the immediate vicinity. The cabin has an outside barbecue area and is large

Not only supposedly the compass needles are different. Very interesting.

A shelter is just behind the Ketzersteinen, with out door barbecue area.
We were looking for shelter here before rain, was very comfortable.

The Ketzerstein natural monument is located at an altitude of 610 m, south of Liebenscheid. The high iron content of the lava blocks affects every compass, not to say that looking north in every direction.
The heretic stone is said to have been used as a sacrificial altar in pre-Christian times.

Yes, the formation is very interesting in terms of both landscape and energy - the compass behavior alone is remarkable

Nice place to stay. Either on the stones (you can sit well on them), on one of the nearby benches or in the refuge.

Benches with a table have the advantage that the food can be placed in front of you. 😁

The monolithic rocks lying on a hill at the side of the path are a great photo opportunity and offer a good view of the plain.

Bring a needle compass and get closer to the heretic stone and you will notice that "NORTH" is no longer in "NORTH" .... magical heretic stone 👍
