I would avoid weekends (especially when the weather is nice), because that's when there are a lot of German tourists on the road, and of course they think the cycle paths and protective lanes are parking spaces especially for their stupid SUVs. Special German-language signs were put up for these potatoes, stating that parking on cycle paths is prohibited :-/
