From the lock in the direction of Roermond, it goes between the Lateraal Canal and the Meuse/lakes in the direction of Roermond. During the week there is hardly any traffic here and it is easy to drive.
I would avoid weekends (especially when the weather is nice), because that's when there are a lot of German tourists on the road, and of course they think the cycle paths and protective lanes are parking spaces especially for their stupid SUVs. Special German-language signs were put up for these potatoes, stating that parking on cycle paths is prohibited :-/

Long, straight road, reasonably tarmac, can be busy due to recreational car traffic the first kilometer. Nice dessert on the Weir!
