This forgotten path leads from Malerwinkel to the back of the Saletalm. But you can also just (we we) walk to the boiler and from there take the boat on or back.

Mountaineering
A 28-year-old woman from Munich slipped and fell over steep terrain into Lake Königssee on Friday. According to the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK), she was able to stay on the shore. According to police, a companion of the woman called emergency services and tried to reach the 28-year-old. The water rescue team rescued the seriously injured woman and then brought her companion back by boat. A helicopter then flew the 28-year-old to a hospital.
According to police, the eastern shore path is no longer being inspected for safety and condition and is not shown on current maps.
