The Elversstein in the Harz is a maximum of 499 m above sea level. NHN high slate rock formation with diabase deposits from the Steinberg (approx. 525 m) above the Drängetal near Hasserode in the Harz district in Saxony-Anhalt.

From here you have a beautiful view of the Harzquerbahn on the other side of the valley. As a narrow-gauge railway, it connects the cities of Nordhausen and Wernigerode. The Elversstein is number 29 of the Harz hiking pin. The ascent over the Elverssteinpfad is a lot of fun.
