The legend tells of the love story between the shepherd Titiro and the noble lady Odina. The two, despite the opposition of her family, manage to escape together. With the castellans on their backs, Titiro and Odina find only one solution: to seek death together. So they did, throwing themselves hand in hand from one of the waterfalls, finding death in what has since taken the name of 'HOLE OF LOVERS' (Bucamante).

Hiking

The actual falls are 4/10, not very spectacular. The path/track 6/10, passable but not maintained. Access road and carpark 7/10, pretty good by Italian standards. But it's still a nice escape from the summer heat. Down along the stream the air temperature is a good 5-10 degrees cooler than at the car park. The path is trickier than it should be, all single track along the stream to the falls, so it would be difficult with small children or for people with mobility issues.
