Capicorsu Loop
Started with a gentle climb out Ruglianu to Ersa and the Col de la Serra. Followed by a rapid decent past Centuri and Mursiglia. The views on the decent down to and around Anse d'Aliso are spectacular as are the views down the coast towards San Fiurenzu. Then a nice climb up to Pinu which would lead on to the climb up to Bocca di Santa Lucia but I detoured through Pinu and down to the waterfront at Marine de Scalo. The ascent from there to the pass is about 8 km. After reaching Bocca di Santa Lucia, it's all downhill through Luri to Santa Severa then the coastal road up to Macinaghju. After the compulsory stop for lunch at the boulangerie it was back up to Ruglianu via the side road. Very little traffic for a sunny Sunday!

Ruglianu to Ruglianu - Road & Gravel
Started with a gentle climb out of Ruglianu - great views of the village and down to Macinaghju. Then on to the main road to Ersa and the Col de la Serra. Followed by a rapid decent to Port de Centuri. From there it was a long climb to Mursiglia with a detour to the Couvent de l'Annonciation - looked abandoned. From Mursiglia, up the small road (D35) to cross over towards Marina-di-Meria. However, I turned left at the top and climbed the gravel road passed Notre-Dame des Grâces to the pass Bocca di Santa Catalina. The gravel was loose and steep but manageable on a road bike with 32mm tyres. From the pass, I followed the gravel road towards the wind turbines on Punta di Mandrioni. It was rough with some sections of tarmac, passable on 32mm road tyres with some care. Once back on a good road surface, I retraced my steps back to Ruglianu. It was a fun adventure but the next ride will stick strictly to sealed roads.
