Mountain biking

This is an incredibly steep bridlepath from West Coombe Farm heading up to Shapley Tor past the small lake. From the farmyard gate, two thin strips of concrete snake up the hillside so steeply that you'll probably be walking, but the incredibly green mossy trees distract you for a while. Soon through another gate it opens out into moorland with some spectacular views awaiting you at the summit.

A long old climb up here from Shapley Farm in West Coombe to the east but well worth it for this gorgeous wild moorland bridleway and far-reaching views.

Grassy, incredibly exhausting if going east to west. Recommend doing this section downhill (west to east) only unless on E Bike.
