In mountain bike circles, this part of the route is known as the Ho Chi Minh Trail. We thought that the path could also be conquered on foot and, as if by chance, there were no other hikers or mountain bikers to be found. Probably all deterred by the rain showers in the afternoon.
The path is almost magical - it meanders up and down through the forest, always along a small, gently gurgling brook and leads over roots and past fallen trees.
Over a small section it then goes through a gorge between the tree roots and you get an impression of the mighty root system of the forest.

Anyone who walks here has to be careful because it is a well-known mountain bike route.

Also in today's hiking group nobody really knew about the reason for the naming. On the one hand, the thesis was circulating because the path would lead through dense jungle, one said the route was very popular with cyclists (subspecies "mountain bikers") and the Viet Cong had transported their weapons by bike at that time ...
Everyone could choose what the reason could be.
