Road Cycling Highlight
Very nice plaza in the old town of Buje (known as the "sentinel of Istria") with the belfry "Campanile di San Servolo" where you can get a nice view over the countryside for just 1€ per person. The tower was rebuild in 1480 after it was demolished in 1414 by an order of the Republic of Venice because of it's perfect function as watchtower. Beneath there's the cathedral "Duomo di San Servolo" and the neoclassical palace "Scuola elementare e media". San Servolo (270 – 284) is the patron saint of the city Buje.
