The fertile area of Buje is formed by the slightly hilly area, which is favored by the Mediterranean climate. Long ago it was planted with vineyards and olive fields, creating a typical Istrian landscape. The hills were already settled in the Bronze Age, the Romans built colonies. Here is also one of the most famous wine routes in Croatia, with as many as 23 famous wine producers. It is also interesting to explore the ways of olive oil, where you can learn about its production and processing of this fruit.
