The many piles of wood probably aren't because of the many wind turbines, but because there are too few of them...

A small addition to my post because there seems to have been a misunderstanding. The piles of wood visible in the picture came from spruce trees that were weakened by the previous dry summers and thus fell victim to the bark beetle, as happened in many places in northern Hesse and southern Lower Saxony.

Why are there more and more droughts? Climate change? Too much CO2? Too little renewable energy?

I don't think it's a bad thing if such turbines are now being built on these fallow lands. They can help prevent something even worse from happening.
