Mountain Biking Highlight
The Seebensee is located at an altitude of about 1657 meters just above the Ehrwalder Alm in the Mieminger mountains. For me, this is one of the most beautiful mountain lakes with a magnificent view of Zugspitze, the Vorderer Taja and Drachenkopf and the Ehrwalder Sonnenspitze. From here you can go so many demanding mountain tours ... provided you are not surprised by the thunderstorm ... ;-) And he has absolute addictive potential!
The lake can be reached very well from Ehrwald or Leutasch - do not forget your bike! ;-)
The route by bike from the valley station of the Ehrwalder Alm to the mountain station is however quite steep and only recommended for conditionally strong bikers. "The good guys can do it in less than 30 minutes" I told the lift staff. I preferred to take my bike with me to the gondola - which was possible without any problems and without extra charge!
Another and scenic much more scenic variant with the mountain bike is the route from Leutasch in a pleasant slope and partly flat through the beautiful Gaistal, always with a view of the Mieminger chain and the Wetterstein mountains, past the Igelsee to Seebenalm and finally over coarse gravel a bit steeper to Seebensee.
Paid parking "Salzbach" are located in 6105 Leutasch, Klamm 1. Here are several Parpklätze in a row; the last one even has a building with toilets.
Tip: The Seebensee is just below the Coburg hut. The approximately 250 hm there can be easily reached in a walk of about 30 minutes.
Oh yes ... Baden - I thought it was wonderful. But apparently only very few people dare to go into the water. I can not understand why ... ;-)
