The 66 km long river runs through the Hjørring surroundings, Sindal, Mosbjerg, Bindslev and Uggerby. The origin of the river is at Sterup, south of Hjørring, and it flows into the Tager Bay between Hirtshals and Tversted in the Skagerrak.

In Bindslev you will find an old power station, which is definitely worth a visit. Here you will also find one of the prettiest fish ladders in Northern Europe and a beautiful nature playground for the little ones.

A canoe trip on the Uggerby River is a beautiful nature experience that should not be missed if you are near the river in Uggerby. Everyone can join in here - regardless of age.

The Uggerby Å is one of the northernmost wetlands of Jutland and therefore little known in German anglers. With the Danes, however, the more so! And there are many reasons for this: the river, which flows into the Skagerak (link is external) about 12 kilometers east of Hirtshals (link is external), has a very good sea trout rise. The coveted salmonids go every year in unit weights of over 10 pounds on the hook. The record, however, is as much as 11.7 kilograms.
