Lichtenstein Castle is a historic castle from the 19th century. It lies on the Swabian Alb at an altitude of 817 m above sea level. NN.
Inspired by the novel "Lichtenstein" by Wilhelm Hauff, the castle was built in 1840-1842 in the neo-Gothic style. The castle grounds include the Gerobau, the chapel, a spacious castle garden and the romantic castle courtyard. In the restored apartments of Count Wilhelm von Württemberg, the opulent splendor of late-Romantic living culture can be seen.
Lichtenstein Castle is also known as the "fairytale castle of Württemberg" because it allows the romance to live on in its architectural style and furnishings. So it sees itself as a homage to the Middle Ages.👍🙃🙂
