The cave lies above the course of the river Hönne and the Binolener tunnel of the Hönnetalbahn and belongs together with the neighboring tunnel cave and the Friedrichshöhle to a, of two brooks coined, common cave system. The cave entrance has a height of four meters and is eight meters wide. The main hall, which has an inside height of eight and a width of 15 meters, branches into several dead arms after a length of about 100 meters. One of these side arms ends after about 200 meters before a break. Mostly the cave runs solitary. There is a second cave entrance offset above the main entrance.
