Here on the outskirts of Wemding is really a beautiful pilgrimage church. The healing water that flows inside the church at the altar is also worth a visit.

In 1684 a Wemdinger brought the miraculous image of "Our Lady", which today stands on the altar of grace, from Rome. After the construction of a chapel above the "Schillerbrünnl" in 1692, today's rococo church was built to accommodate the increasing number of pilgrims between 1748 and 1782, based on the plans of the master builder of the Teutonic Order, Franz Joseph Roth. Decorated with elegant stucco decorations (1752 to 1754) and frescoes at the same time under the direction of Johann Baptist Zimmermann. The heart of the church is a unique grace altar as a fountain altar with the miraculous figure of the Mother of God (1755) by Johann Joseph Mayr. The altar table with fountain bowl was created in 1953 by the local sculptor Ernst Steinacker. As one of the most visited places of pilgrimage in Bavaria, the church was elevated to the status of a minor basilica by Pope John Paul II in 1998.
