At 629.6 m above sea level, the Kühlenberg is the highest point of the long mountain ridge east of the Nagold on the western edge of the Gäu. The border between the Baden-Württemberg districts of Böblingen and Calw runs over the mountain and it therefore belongs to the Nagold district of Emmingen in the Calw district and to the municipality of Jettingen in the Böblingen district.
