In Yerseke everything revolves around shellfish. The small village has large harbors with impressive mussel cutters and cockle fishermen, while oyster beds lie on the coast. Here shellfish are stored and cleaned in a traditional way. Visit the “Oystery” for oysters and other seafood. In August, Mussel Day takes place, a big party in the village center to taste the black gold.
