The carillon is located on the north gable of the new city administration building built in 1990 on the market square. The carillon consists of 23 bronze bells that play different regional or seasonal melodies throughout the year. Six figures carved from linden wood appear in the figure circulation. These are intended to commemorate the life of the citizens in the past and the history of the city: Archbishop Hildeboldus, who gave Wildeshausen city rights in 1270, appears first. Then an officer, drummer and guard of the guild step forward.
