    Mountain biking

    Twmpa, or Lord Hereford's Knob, is an undoubted highlight of any journey to Grwyne Fawr bothy. At 2,264 feet (690 m), it is one of the highest points around and affords breathtaking views down the slopes of Rhiw Wen to Hay-on-Wye in the valley below.

    Often you'll be riding just above the clouds, which adds to the otherworldliness of this part of the world.
