The Schiller Cave is a natural monument on the Swabian Alb. The cave is around 245 meters long and was used as a escape cave in various wars. Today the cave provides shelter for bats to hibernate. Therefore the cave is closed with a gate from November 1st to May 15th every year.

This 91 m long accessible cave is the Tulka Cave of Rulaman, in which the hero, a chief from the Stone Age, lived with his family. For decades, the book "Rulaman" by David F. Weinland was a must-read for young people in the area. However, the cave is closed for bat protection from November to March.

In summer a welcome cooling off from the heat.
Since the cave is not developed, you should wear appropriate clothing and footwear. It is wet and slippery.
You also have to have a flashlight.
And always be careful. The ground is quite slippery. And there are places where it would be inconvenient to slip.
