The path on the Via Francigena from Vetralla to Sutri takes you a few kilometers along the beautiful deciduous forests of the Lago di Vico nature reserve. At the other end of the ridge on the left, behind the forest, is the volcanic lake Lago de Vico, which you will not see if you stay on Via Francigiena. If you do not have a fixed timetable, a detour through the forest to Lake Vico can be highly recommended. Your way to Sutri is extended but significantly.
