In the moor area of the Fichtelsee you can find the source of the Jean Paul Fountain consisting of a small granite pyramid on a rock base. On the front of the pyramid is the dedication in German: “In memory of Jean Paul, who liked to stay here.” The light splashing brings a certain calm.

In 1925, exactly on the 100th anniversary of Jean Paul's death, the fountain and memorial stone were inaugurated. The poet was a fan of the Fichtelgebirge. Basically the first influencer :)
