Great soft sandy beach with breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge, making it an ideal spot for a swim, kite surfing, beach picnic or relaxation. There are numerous picnic tables available in the dune area. Since conversion to a national recreation area in 2001, the beach and park area behind it have been restored to a natural habitat, and a section of beach is closed off to protect nesting birds, providing ample nature observation opportunities.
