Their castle of Warnant having been destroyed, the lords of the place decided, in 1370, to settle in their fortified house of Outremont, outside the village, and to take the name of this locality. The castle of Oultremont was rebuilt in 1636, after its destruction by militias. It has a fortified aspect and dominates the village of Warnant. A porch tower, pierced by a basket-handle gate, gives access to the courtyard. A slab, bearing the arms of Oultremont, dates this entrance to 1701. The enclosure has two circular dovecote towers. At the end of the courtyard, a square tower affirms the power of the owner. Next to the castle dwelling, a lower wing presents on the ground floor a superb Tuscan colonnade of seven arcades. A castral farm develops around a second courtyard; the two barns prove the importance of the land heritage. Isolated at the northeast corner of the castle complex, an elegant chapel is dated 1649.
