The bow cross lies on the dike arch of the Ochtum. It was made from steel to a design by Wolfgang Heidenhuber in the training workshop at Abeking & Rasmussen. The material used is intended to commemorate the long history of aircraft construction, which has shaped the city and the region for decades. The bow cross marks station no. 4 of the pilgrimage route "Ochtum, Marsch & Moor".
